Join us! Saturday, February 26, 2011 for a Jazz Brunch at B.B.
King’s at CityPlace in West Palm Beach from 11am-2pm.
This is our main fundraiser this year so come out and support Bak! Tickets make a wonderful holiday gift for teachers or students but they must be purchased in advance!
Enjoy a star studded performance featuring Bak MSOA students in concert with Ron Blake, Dion Parson, Reuben R. Rodgers, Rashawn Ross, Lasim Richards, and Jim Gasior.
Concert only tickets begin at just $10 for students and $25 for adults (students must be accompanied by an adult ticket buyer). A cash bar and menu will be available for purchase.
Sponsorships begin at $500 and include an opulent southern style brunch with reserved premier seating, and access to the VIP lounge for a private meet and greet with a toast to the professional musicians.

Feast your ears on some hot jazz while you bid on the exciting silent auction.
This year’s auction features two travel packages. The first is a New Orleans Jazz & Dining Package that includes a 3-Night Stay and daily breakfast for (2) at the 4-diamond luxury Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel, Airfare for (2), VIP admission for (2) to Preservation Hall Jazz and dinner for (2) at Commander’s Palace Restaurant’s wine table featuring Chef Tory’s specially selected five course menu complemented by an assortment of wines.
The second package is the House of Blues VIP Foundation Room Experience. The package includes round trip airfare for (2) and a (3) night stay at the participating Hyatt of your choosing in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland or Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas or the Sunset Strip, dinner for (2), concert admission for (2) including VIP seating, a
$150 gift card, admission and access to a private entrance to the Foundation Room at the House of Blues, a spectacular membership club.
Other auction items include a reserved Bak parking spot, furniture from Island Living and Patio, B.B. King’s merchandise, evening gowns from My Crowning Closet, a mini Green Egg (grill), gift certificates and much more!

Event tickets will NOT be mailed to you. Ticket buyers will be on a guest list at the door. Please provide guests names well in advance.
Drink tickets will not be mailed to you but will be provided to sponsors at the event. Sponsor orders must be received by February 4, 2011.
Tickets and sponsorships are not refundable but unused tickets may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

On February 20th, 2010 Bak hosted its first annual Mardi Gras JazzFest. The star studded evening featured Bak MSOA and DSOA students in concert with Ron Blake, Dion Parson, Ruben R. Rodgers, Lasim Richards, Jim Gasior on Bak MSOA’s MainStage Theatre. Limited reception tickets were available featuring fun for the whole family: Mardi Gras festivities, student performances, an auction, and French quarter fare. Tickets and sponsorships are sold in advance and are limited.

The Metamorphosis gala was first hosted at the Koch estate in Palm Beach. This formal adult event has evolved over the years and morphed to fit various exciting locations. In the past this event has featured both live and silent luxury auctions from diamonds to international travel packages, decadent inspired fare, fine wine tasting, private estate tours, student performances, music and dancing. See and be seen at this event attended by celebrity guests and even royalty. Tickets and sponsorships are sold in advance and are limited.
Passport events are parent hosted cocktail receptions held across the county. These adult events feature silent auctions, sumptuous fare, Bak student performances, and are a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents, teachers and administrators. Last year’s events included a shop for Bak evening with venders offering jewelry, handbags and designer wares in all price ranges.

In 2009 the MSOA Foundation hosted its first Spring New Parent Reception. This informal reception held annually in the Media Center provides an opportunity for new Bak parents to see the campus, meet other parents from their child’s art area and from their area of the county, and to learn about Bak and the MSOA Foundation. Current Bak parents volunteer and or donate refreshments for this casual get together. Students perform and give new Bak families an taste of the arts at Bak.
MSOA Foundation Members: you are cordially invited to attend our
Annual Meeting on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Media Center at
Bak from 6-7:30pm. Our Annual Meeting is your chance to meet the Board
of Directors and Officers, learn about the Foundation’s plans
for the 2010-2011 school year and elect new board members.
Q: Who is a foundation member?
A: Anyone who contributed to the Save the Arts Campaign or submitted a
membership form on or after August 24, 2009. All current members
should receive a proxy letter in the mail. Memberships are good for
one year from date of gift.
In order for us to conduct business at the meeting, we must have 1/3
of our members present either in person or by proxy. If you do not
plan to attend, (or are unsure) please complete the Proxy Form (link
to form) and fax it to attention MSOA Foundation at 561-882-3800 or
mail well in advance to MSOA Foundation, 1725 Echo Lake Dr., WPB
33407.
