Naming Campaign
The Middle School of the Arts Foundation launched its naming campaign with the opening of the new campus in January of 2006. The campaign offers Bak families, area businesses and arts supporters the opportunity to dedicate a theatre seat, classroom, department or even a building. Naming opportunities range from $150 for a studio theatre seat up to $1,000,000 for Bak MSOA's MainStage Auditorium. Bak's state of the art auditorium was constructed with proceeds from the half-cent tax referendum that was approved by Palm Beach County voters in 2004. Dora Bak’s $1.5 million legacy gift was then used to establish an endowment to benefit Bak MSOA in perpetuity.
Funds from the naming campaign are used to increase the Foundations endowment. An endowment is similar to a savings account where the principal remains untouched and only interest income is spent. The Foundation’s goal is to increase the endowment to a level where it’s interest income can support Bak’s needs independently. Endowment income is used to support both arts and academics at Bak MSOA. Please remember us in your estate planning. To view a list of available namings or to place an order click here.
